The Men in Pamela Anderson’s Life: From Michael Jackson to Bolton

Ever since she was put on the Hollywood map, Pamela Anderson’s love life has been a headline-making topic of gossipy discussion. Her high-profile relationships, engagements, and multiple marriages all add to the sensation that is Pamela Anderson. You could just say that the woman is in love with love. She said it herself: “Love is the most important thing in the world… everything else is meaningless, really.”

Anderson has made the news for more than just her relationship news. There’s “the tape,” the movies, Baywatch, the animal rights activism, and who can forget her appearance in Borat. But if there’s anything that keeps the now 53-year-old on the radar to this day, it’s her love life. Over the years, she’s walked down the aisle five times (twice with the same guy). But we don’t necessarily hear about her in-between relationships…

LATEST UPDATE: Pammy is single again, folks. Her latest year-long marriage to Dan Hayhurst has come to an end…

A Star Is Born

Pamela Denise Anderson was born in Ladysmith, British Columbia, in 1967, as the daughter of a furnace repairman and a waitress. As the story goes, she was destined to be a star, considering that she already got press coverage right after her birth. Since she was born on July 1, 1967 (the 100th anniversary of Canada’s official founding), she was dubbed a “Centennial Baby.”

Anderson played on the volleyball team at her high school. She graduated in 1985, and by 1988, she was working as a fitness instructor in Vancouver. A year later, she hit the jackpot in a happenstance moment that essentially dictated her future in the entertainment industry…

The Blue Zone Girl

In 1989, Anderson attended a BC Lions CFL (Canadian Football League) game at Vancouver’s BC Place Stadium. Suddenly, she found herself featured on the Jumbotron for all stadium fans to see. She just so happened to be wearing a Labatt’s Beer t-shirt. Story has it that the brewing company then hired Anderson briefly as a spokesmodel.

Inspired by that experience, her then-boyfriend Dan Ilicic made a poster of her image, titling it the “Blue Zone Girl.” From then on, Anderson has been a poster girl in one form or another. In October of that year, she was the cover girl on Playboy magazine. It was then that she heard L.A. calling, so she picked up her Canadian belongings and headed to the City of Angels.

When Pam Met Jon

Once in L.A., Anderson hit the ground running. Not only was she getting gig after gig, but she was also starting to date men in the industry. Anderson met Jon Peters, the American film producer and former hairdresser, rather unsurprisingly at the Playboy Mansion in the mid-1980s.

They started seeing each other and, before long, they were living together. Peters proposed to her at the time, but she turned him down. The main reason was their 22-year age difference. But the couple went full circle and reunited in 2019 to secretly marry in a private ceremony in Malibu in January 2020. By February, they announced their separation.

From Home Improvement to Baywatch

In 1991, Anderson landed a minor role as Lisa, the original “Tool Time girl” on Home Improvement. She left the show, though, after two seasons to take the role that would forever be synonymous with her name. Anderson became C. J. Parker on Baywatch – a character she played for five seasons between 1992 and 1997.

She later reprised the role in the reunion movie Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding in 2003. While on Baywatch, Anderson was still modeling for Outdoor Life, appearing on the magazine cover each year. It was also around this time that she was dating actor Scott Baio…

Pamela and Scott Baio: 1990 – 1993

Anderson and Scott Baio, the actor and television director, dated from 1990 to 1993. Most of you probably remember Baio from his role as Chachi Arcola on Happy Days and its spin-off Joanie Loves Chachi, as well as the title character on Charles in Charge. Baio was another guy who proposed to Anderson.

Baio told People about their broken engagement: “Don’t ever take a shower with a woman, because you’ll probably end up proposing to her.” The guy who said “my vice became women” reportedly cheated on Anderson (but apparently, he has a reputation of being a womanizer).

Pamela and Eric Nies (and David Charvet): 1992

Anderson and Eric Nies, the former model and reality TV personality, reportedly dated for a few months in the early-‘90s. Nies was on the first season of MTV’s The Real World series and hosted The Grind for a couple of years.

Howard Stern had him on his show because of his dating history with stars like Anderson and Alyssa Milano. Nies said he was the one who dumped both women. In 1992, Anderson also dated her Baywatch costar David Charvet, who’s a singer, actor, model, and TV personality. Anderson has also had a fling with another Baywatch costar, Antonio Sabato Jr.

Pamela and Dean Cain (and Arsenio Hall): Early- to Mid-1990s

Anderson and Dean Cain were romantically linked in the early-‘90s. Cain is best known for playing the role of Clark Kent/Superman in the TV show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. You also saw him as the host of Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

Another mid-‘90s fling was with Arsenio Hall, the comedian, and talk show host. Not much is known about their relationship in 1995, but his name comes up on her dating history, and vice versa. A year before Hall, however, was one of Anderson’s more scandalous relationships…

Pamela and Bret Michaels: 1994

Anderson and Bret Michaels, the singer-songwriter and musician, dated in 1994. Michaels gained fame as the lead singer of Poison. Before the infamous tape with Tommy Lee ever happened, there was another one with Anderson and Michaels.

But the tape only came out after the Tommy Lee scandal. A shortened version of less than 60 seconds popped up on the Internet. Frames of the video appeared in Penthouse magazine back in 1998. Michaels was able to block the tape from further distribution, but, apparently, a four-minute tape is floating around the Internet.

Pamela and Tommy Lee: 1995 – 1998

Anderson famously eloped with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee to Cancun, Mexico, back in 1995 after knowing him for a mere 96 hours (four days). Anderson was in a bikini at the ceremony. Apparently, Anderson’s own mother didn’t know of the nuptials; she only learned of the marriage from People magazine.

The couple then went ahead and had two kids: Brandon Thomas Lee in 1996 and Dylan Jagger Lee in 1997. A year later, Anderson and Lee were already divorced. During their wild marriage, Anderson and Lee spawned many scandals. Lee was arrested and sentenced to six months in jail on account of spousal battery in 1998. He pleaded no contest.

A Scandalous Marriage

The biggest scandal, of course, was the infamous tape that the couple made on their honeymoon, which was stolen from their home in 1995 and shared online. In 2002, Anderson stated publicly that she contracted hepatitis C by sharing a tattoo needle with Lee.

In 2003, Anderson joked on Howard Stern’s radio program that she doesn’t expect to live more than 10 or 15 years. Despite all the tabloid headlines, Anderson was finally cured of the disease in 2015. In 2007, Anderson also stated that she and Lee were still intimate, and, in 2008, Lee said they were trying to make things work again. But that ended up being a pipe dream.

Pamela and Kelly Slater: 1998 – 2000

After meeting on the set of Baywatch, Anderson and Kelly Slater dated for a couple of years in the late-‘90s. Kelly Slater is a professional surfer, author, actor, model, environmental activist, businessman, and innovator. He is widely regarded as the greatest professional surfer of all time.

As for his relationship with Anderson, he said, “I learned a lot. I don’t t have any ill feelings toward her. I wish her well. Hey, we had an amazing time together.” He also revealed that his Baywatch co-stars David Hasselhoff and Anderson drove him to win his first world title in 1992.

Pamela and Marcus Schenkenberg: 1998 – 2001

After her divorce to Tommy Lee, Anderson started dating Swedish model Marcus Schenkenberg, and her bad experiences with marriage didn’t keep her from saying “yes” to her new beau. He proposed to her early on in their relationship, but they broke it off in 2001.

Anderson’s fling with Schenkenberg was mostly kept under wraps, which is why most of us have never even heard of their engagement. The model is best known for his Calvin Klein ads in the early 1990s. He’s been modeling for 27 years, but he’s also an actor, singer, writer, and TV personality.

Pamela and Michael Bolton: 2001

I must say, this one is one of the more surprising unions on this list. Anderson was reported to have had a fling with long-haired ballad singer Michael Bolton after they met at a celebrity party in the Bahamas. She fell for the singer after reportedly beating him in a drinking contest.

Anderson, who had just split from Schenkenberg, challenged Bolton to a tequila drinking competition at the party. She won the contest 4 – 2, and the couple became inseparable. Anderson later told a friend, “I was so lucky to hook up with Michael. He’s a wonderful guy.” Her friend added, “Pam was at a party a few days ago, and all she could talk about was Michael. It was as if Marcus [Schenkenberg] never existed.”

Pamela and Kid Rock: 2001 – 2002; 2006 – 2007

Anderson linked up with singer Kid Rock (Robert J. Ritchie) in 2001 shortly after her breakup with Schenkenberg. A year later, they were engaged. And a year after that, they split up. In 2006, however, they rekindled their romance and tied the knot on a yacht near St-Tropez, France.

There was widespread yet unconfirmed media speculation that their marriage was pregnancy-related. Anderson never confirmed the rumors, but in the same year that they married, Anderson announced that she had miscarried. She filed for divorce 17 days later, citing irreconcilable differences. Some reports suggested that it was Rock’s outrage during a screening of Borat (in which Anderson had a cameo role) that led to the divorce.

Pamela and Fred Durst: 2003

Anderson and rocker Fred Durst dated briefly in 2003. He’s known for being the frontman of Limp Bizkit, but he’s also an actor and film director. The Boston Herald reported that Anderson rebounded rather quickly from her split with Kid Rock, falling straight into the arms of Durst.

“You could say that they were spending a lot of time together last week,” one source revealed. Not much is known about their brief fling, other than the fact that the two were seen out on a few dates. But, before long, each one moved on. Anderson moved on to an actor…

Pamela and Stephen Dorff: 2004 – 2005

Pamela Anderson was romantically linked to the movie hunk Stephen Dorff from 2004 to 2005. After being platonic friends for years, Anderson and Dorff took things to the next level, but – surprise, surprise – the romance didn’t last long.

Anderson ended their five-month romance because she felt their relationship didn’t have a future, according to the British newspaper The Sun. A close friend of theirs said, “Pam and Stephen had a great time together, but it didn’t seem to be going anywhere. There was no big argument, it just fizzled out naturally. They’re still on friendly terms.”

Pamela and Mark McGrath: 2005

Anderson had a fling with singer and frontman of Sugar Ray, Mark McGrath, in 2005. He was also the Extra anchorman for a while. McGrath reportedly spent a weekend at Anderson`s Malibu beachfront home, and they only left the house to go food shopping.

One newspaper columnist revealed that “McGrath doesn`t hold a candle to legendarily endowed Lee!”

Fun fact: McGrath is often confused with actor Ethan Hawke, and both men have an ongoing joke with signing autographs: McGrath signs “Ethan Hawke” and Hawke signs “Mark McGrath.”

Pamela and Ray J: 2006

Anderson had a little fling with rapper Ray J in 2006. 38-year-old Anderson set her sights on the 25-year-old hip-hopper during a boozy night out at Kabaret’s Prophecy in London. She spent thousands on champagne in a bid to impress him.

A source stated that “She was telling Ray-J that he was beautiful and ‘so cute’ – she definitely had his attention.” After that party, the two were seen a lot together and showing plenty of PDA (public displays of affection). Perhaps they bonded on their affinity for adult tapes (remember, he was Kim Kardashian’s “other half” in the famous “tape” that put Kim on the map).

Pamela and Eddie Irvine: 2006

Pamela Anderson reportedly dated Eddie Irvine, the former race car driver, in 2006. Irvine pulled up a stool at the Cipriani Bar in Manhattan one evening back, and a woman approached him. She gently whispered in his ear that she was drinking with Pamela Anderson and that the Baywatch actress wanted to meet him.

But Irvine followed one of his rules when it comes to: Women want what they can’t have. So, he left the party, and Anderson with it. But within a few months, Irvine and Anderson were filling gossip blogs about their new romance.

Pamela and Laurence Hallier: 2006 – 2010

Anderson dated the taxi advertising entrepreneur Laurence Hallier on and off between 2006 and 2010. Things got ugly, though, in 2011 when she sued him for $1 million for not giving her the condo he had promised her.

Hallier then counter-sued for $22.5 million, claiming Anderson was the one who had failed to deliver on her alleged promise, which was to promote his Las Vegas residential development. Anderson had backed out on several appearances to publicize his Panorama Towers. They eventually settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.

Pamela and Hans Klok: 2007

It was during her stint in Las Vegas when she was performing as an assistant for Dutch magician Johannes Franciscus Catharinus Klok (aka Hans Klok), that Pamela had a fling with the magician. Klok had a Las Vegas show called The Beauty of Magic in 2007.

At the time, Anderson told talk show host Craig Ferguson that she and Klok were having fun: “There’s a lot of love backstage. It’s very physical, it’s very loving.” But Klok later admitted that he faked his romance with Anderson for publicity, confirming that he has been in a gay relationship for 16 years.

Pamela and David Spade: 2007

In 2007, Anderson had a fling with comedian and actor David Spade. And there was no missing the moment Spade and Anderson appeared together at the Jet Nightclub in the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Celeb-watchers went wild, and the paparazzi were quick to click their cameras.

The two were walking side by side into the club, and the cameras also spotted them getting close inside. Anderson was seen kissing the actor on the cheek, but it isn’t clear whether anything beyond that happened that night. You know what they say about Vegas…

Pamela and David Binn: 2007

Anderson reportedly dated former American football long snapper David Binn in 2007. The gossip began after she was seen jetting off to Russia with him. It was just one day after a UK newspaper revealed that Anderson’s ex-husband Tommy Lee had bought her a home in Dubai. It suggested that the couple was back together.

But then people saw her with the football player. According to OK! Magazine, Anderson was quietly dating the San Diego Chargers star for some time before taking a low-key trip to Russia together.

Pamela and Rick Salomon: 2007 – 2008; 2014 – 2015

Anderson and Rick Salomon, the high-balling poker player, have been married twice. The first time was in 2007 (after which their union was annulled) and again in 2014. Salomon is known more than anything for his relationships with female celebrities, including Elizabeth Daily, Shannen Doherty, and Paris Hilton.

In September 2007, Anderson stated that she was engaged to Salomon on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. They had a small wedding ceremony at The Mirage in Las Vegas, between her two nightly magic show appearances at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. When they annulled the marriage, Anderson cited fraud.

Pamela and Criss Angel: 2007 – 2008

Anderson linked up with the Cirque du Soleil magician Criss Angel, as reported after the two were photographed partying together in Las Vegas in December of 2007. The two were there for Taboo of The Black Eyed Peas’ performance.

They were later spotted kissing at Anderson’s 41st birthday party in July, but soon after, the spark fizzled out. It looks like she has more than one magician on her love life list. At least Angel wasn’t pretending to be straight for his public image.

Pamela and Matt Evers: 2012 – 2013

In between her two marriages to Salomon, Anderson dated her Dancing on Ice partner Matt Evers. Evers’ representative confirmed: “They formed a very close bond and have made plans to see each other in the very near future.”

A source said that Evers stayed with Anderson at her house in Malibu just before Christmas, and they went out for a couple of dinners in L.A. She invited him to be her guest of honor at her own New Year’s Eve party in London. “After going shopping together, and Matt lugging back all her groceries, they were joking about how domesticated they’d become,” the source commented.

Pamela and Adil Rami: 2017

Anderson started dating French soccer star Adil Rami in the summer of 2017. In 2018, Anderson was seen with a large ring on her finger, which sparked engagement rumors. But, according to Rami, the rumors weren’t true.

Anderson even moved to the French Riviera to be closer to him. However, in June 2019, Anderson declared on Instagram that her relationship with Rami was over, accusing him of “living a double life.” The 53-year-old fling with the 35-year-old defender happened to be something that Rami (unsurprisingly) bragged about to his fellow teammates. According to Rami, the two would do it “12 times a night.”

Pamela and Sylvester Stallone

According to Anderson, Sly Stallone tried to convince her to be his girlfriend by offering to give her an apartment and a car. “He offered me a condo and a Porsche to be his ‘number one girl,'” Anderson told Piers Morgan during their interview (in which they also spoke about Michael Jackson and Julian Assange).

Anderson replied to Stallone, “Does that mean there is a number two?” to which he said, “Of course.” She said that while she never accepted his offer, she did find him “very funny. I did not take the condo or the Porsche. Maybe I should have.”

Pamela and Michael Jackson

Michael Bolton wasn’t the only unlikely partner on this list. Michael Jackson is another one that Anderson has mentioned when speaking about her past loves. She admitted that while she crushed hard on him, nothing really happened.

The odd pair seem to have bonded over their love of plastic surgery when they went on a few dates in Malibu. A source said, “It was all arranged by their people in total secrecy, very cloak, and dagger.” They arrived at the Shutters Hotel on Malibu Beach separately so no one would suspect anything. They had a few drinks in the bar. Their time together didn’t go beyond a couple dates, though.

Pamela and Julian Assange

Another of Anderson’s unlikely partners was Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. During an interview with Piers Morgan, she didn’t deny the rumored romance, telling Morgan, “Well, he is a prisoner. It is difficult to have a relationship with somebody. I adore him. Mostly we are good friends. That’s it. That’s all I want to say.”

The businessman and fashion mogul allegedly paid Anderson $38,000 a month to be his girlfriend during the time that she was starring in Baywatch. When Morgan asked her more about the relationship, she shut him down, saying, “No . . . I don’t want to talk about that. You are so persistent. I am too honest.”

Pamela and Dan Hayhurst: Married for a Year

Pamela’s fifth marriage ended after a year because “he was a d–k to her.” she’s filing for divorce from her now-estranged husband, Dan Hayhurst. They wed on Christmas Eve 2020 in Pamela’s Vancouver Island home.

Apparently, the relationship was plagued with drama from the get-go because Hayhurst’s ex, Carey, accused Pamela of splitting up their family. Whatever the actual reason, it’s yet another notch on Pamela’s list of nuptials.

Her “Hero”

In 2016, Anderson made a statement to People magazine, calling Assange a “hero.” She stated that he did everyone “a great service. Everyone in the world has benefited because of WikiLeaks.” In April 2019, via Twitter, Anderson expressed her anger at Assange’s ejection from London’s Ecuadorian embassy.

In May that year, Anderson visited Assange in HMP Belmarsh with Kristinn Hrafnsson, saying she believed Assange to be innocent and “a good man… an incredible person. I love him, I can’t imagine what he has been going through.” She also wrote a letter to Scott Morrison asking him to secure Assange’s release.

Pam and Tommy: The Movie

It has recently been announced that the love (and hate) story of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee is going to be made into a series called Pam and Tommy. Sources told Deadline that actors Lily James and Sebastian Stan are on board to play both stars. Funnyman Seth Rogen is also said to be playing the man who stole their tape.

I, Tonya director Craig Gillespie will be directing the series, Rob Siegel will be writing, and Rogen and his partner Evan Goldberg will be producing it. The eight-episode series is meant to start shooting in the spring of 2021. The scandalous tape incident will play a major part in the series, but the story is going to focus on their relationship and its timeline. Neither Anderson nor Lee are involved in Pam & Tommy, but insiders say they both became aware of the project once it was announced that James will play Anderson.

Dylan Jagger Lee: 22 Years Old

Two special dudes are important to Pamela Anderson, but they’re just not in her love life. Her sons Brandon and Dylan mean the world to her. But let’s start with Dylan, the youngest of the Lee brothers. With a name like that and a father like his, it makes sense that Dylan has carved out a music career of his own.

He told W magazine in 2017: “If I’m in for the night, I’m writing music. I’m either playing the piano, playing the guitar, or producing on my computer. That’s usually my night every day. Music, music, music!”

Brandon Thomas Lee: 24 Years Old

Her eldest son Brandon dabbled in fashion modeling, walking the catwalk for Dolce and Gabbana several times. He also entered the world of reality television, being featured on the 2019 reboot of The Hills called The Hills: New Beginnings.

In 2019, he said, “Before The Hills, nobody knew what I was like,” he explained. “Why not let them know I don’t have a chip on my shoulder; I’m calm; I show up on time; I’m not crazy or entitled?” Brandon added that above all, he “wanted the separation.” He “wanted people to see me for me and not my parents.”

Like Father, Like Son

Like father like son, Brandon is most proud of his sobriety. In June 2019, he spoke about his decision to lead a sober life. “Three years ago, I was in one of the darkest spots of my entire life,” he revealed. “I didn’t want to leave my apartment. I couldn’t do anything. Ever since I got sober, I just feel like everything’s gotten better for me.”

As it turns out, Brandon got involved in a public brawl with his father, Tommy Lee. Sources close to Brandon said that he was sticking up for his mother when he and his father started brawling at Tommy’s Calabasas home one night in 2018.

He Stood Up for His Mom

Lee, 57, had criticized Anderson on Twitter, days after she was interviewed by Piers Morgan and brought up the 1998 arrest for spousal battery. Lee wasn’t happy about it, tweeting: “Think she’d find something new to discuss instead of rehashing old (expletive), but I guess she has nothing else going on & needs attention.”

He then wrote, “Signed, ‘The abuser’ (who she texts everyday & asks for me back).” Lee’s tweet sparked a heated argument between him and Brandon. According to TMZ, Lee was intoxicated when the fight broke out.

Throwing His Son Under the Bus

The father reportedly lunged at his son as the young man defended himself. Lee later disputed the claim that he started the brawl. In yet another tweet, Lee said his son “busted” into his bedroom, where he and his fiancé were in bed. “My son busted into the room and assaulted me,” he tweeted.

“I asked him to leave the house, and he knocked me unconscious. He ran away from the police. THAT’S the truth.” It looks like the father is throwing his own son under the bus, so to speak.

The 911 Call

In a 911 call, Lee’s then-fiancée Brittany Furlan said a fight broke out between the two, but she didn’t say who instigated it. She then warned the dispatchers that Brandon had weapons in the house and that Lee was unconscious. “He’s totally out,” she said. “Like a light.”

Lee eventually regained consciousness and told Furlan that he didn’t want the paramedics to come, but they came anyway, and he was taken to the hospital. Lee posted a photo of himself (which he later deleted) showing his bloody, swollen lip. He captioned it: “My heart is broken. You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you.”
